Kristen has more than 20 years of experience in strategic and mission-oriented ocean science and education program management and development. She currently serves as Executive Director of the IOOS Association, a position she began in October 2022. Prior to this role, she served as Vice President and Director of Research and Education at the nonprofit Consortium for Ocean Leadership. It that position she led community building, convening, and program management efforts to support collaboration around topics and issues of community-wide interest, including work to develop recommendations for addressing harassment, safety, culture, and inclusion in field environments.
